Swimming Goggles can protect your eyes from ultraviolet radiation and from chlorine exposure.
When selecting goggles look for:
Proper seal: An important thing is selecting goggles with a proper seal, also known as not leaking.
You will need to try several different styles when selecting goggles; here are few things to consider:
1. "A press on" - Do the goggles stays on eyes for more than a second without using the strap?
2. "A comfortable fit" - Does the nose piece (the centre piece) feel right without cutting the skin?
3. Do the goggles feel good on your eyes with the strap?
Anti- fog: To help prevent fogged goggles, get anti-fog goggles or anti- fog droops.
Ultraviolet Protection: If you are swimming outdoors, look for UV Protection on you goggles.
Lens Color: If swimming outdoors, you may want to put a slight tint in the lens to help block the sun getting into you eyes. A smoke lens is still light enough to see underwater
Cosmetic features: Does the strap or frame color as you like?
Prescription Goggles: Are a pre-fabricated goggle in prescription lenses analogous to half-eye reading glasses, so you can see but won't see perfectly.
Children's swim goggles: Usually feature a smaller diameter. They come in tint or clear and some have decorative trim to look like fish, penguin or flower
